Welcome to the Theater Program at Groton, where we celebrate and foster the dynamic, collaborative pursuit of making theater.
Whether in the classroom, behind the scenes, or on stage in one of our many productions, we encourage you to develop your natural creative impulses as you work cooperatively with peers, faculty, and visiting professional artists.
The theater experience at Groton takes a hands-on approach to all aspects of theater education. In our stunning facility, you will learn by doing—we will guide you as you acquire practical techniques in acting, improvisation, direction, design, playwriting, and public speaking. The goal of our program is to give you the tools you need to self-express confidently—not just in the spotlight or on our stage but everywhere you choose to use your voice!
